Time to go treasure hunting in the attic.

The PBS show "Antiques Roadshow" has announced that Akron will be among five stops this summer for the show's 28th season.

The show brings antique appraisers to cities where tapings are held and allows residents to lug their treasures in to be evaluated.

Some of the lucky and more unusual finds are included on the show that will air next year.

Other stops on the 2023 tour include Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Raleigh, North Carolina; Sturbridge, Massachusetts; and Anchorage, Alaska.

This will be the show's first visit to the Rubber City, where there will likely be a fair number Goodyear and other tiremaker-related items brought in for appraisals and perhaps a DEVO item or two to boot.

“Taking Antiques Roadshow across the country, meeting our event guests and learning about their items each year brings the magic to our episodes,” said executive producer Marsha Bemko in a statement. “I am thrilled for the show to visit Akron for the first time ever and can’t wait to see what local treasures await.”

The exact location of where the appraisals and tapings will be held is expected to be announced closer to the event.

The "Roadshow" says it tries to find historic outdoor venues for its tapings.
