May 1—MONROE — All four golfers on PCM's girls team played in their first 18-hole tournament on Thursday during the PCM Mustang Classic at Gateway Recreation Golf Course.

The Mustangs were seventh in the eight-team field with a 500. Gilbert won the meet with a 363, had the meet medalist and put five in the top eight positions.

All eight Tigers shot under 100. Eden Lohrbach shot an 82 to win medalist honors.

Behind runner-up medalist Jaya West, Winterset finished second with a 384. West shot an 85.

Eleigh Davis shot a 109 to lead the Mustangs. She finished 18th overall. Riley Johannes and Tori Peterson were 24th and 26th, respectively, with 119s. Deanna McHargue carded a 153 as the final counting score.

The rest of the eight-team field included Des Moines Christian (429), South Hamilton (451), Albia (471), Bondurant-Farrar (499) and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, which did not have enough golfers for a team score.
