PD: 2 men, 3 teens, arrested for vandalism in Madera

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men and three juveniles were arrested on suspicion of vandalism after they were discovered painting graffiti near a park in Madera, the City of Madera Police Department said on Friday.

According to officers, they have observed an increase in gang-related graffiti in several locations around the city, and on Thursday night, they were able to catch the suspects as they attempted to leave the scene of vandalism that occurred near McNally Park.

Officers identified the suspects as Osbaldo Espinosa and Israel De La Sancha. Police say three other juveniles were arrested on suspicion of several felony charges as a result of the incident.

The City of Madera Police Department encourages the community to continue to voice their concerns when these types of crimes occur in their neighborhood. They say officers will continue to answer the call and prosecute those responsible to the full extent of the law.
