Catastrophe and Pulling creator/star Sharon Horgan is back with another dark comedy where she's pulling double-duty yet again, which is very exciting news indeed.

Combining her brand of humour with a murder mystery, Bad Sisters focuses on the Garvey siblings, who are targeted by the life insurers of a late brother-in-law. All the sisters have plenty of reason to kill him, but did any of them actually do it? And if so, will they get away with it, or will malicious intent be proven in court?

As the trailer shows, something happened a few months ago, and certain sisters were definitely pushing the idea of doing a murder, but you'll have to wait and see what actually went down. The first two episodes debut next month, while the rest of the 10 episodes will premiere every week after that.

Another thing shown off in the trailer is the ensemble cast. Alongside Horgan, we've got Shameless and Sex Education's Anne-Marie Duff, Penny Dreadful's Sarah Greene, Behind Her Eyes' Eve Hewson, and The Last Kingdom's Eva Birthistle as the sisters.

Beyond that, we've got Dracula's Claes Bang, Love/Hate's Brian Gleeson, and Peaky Blinders' Daryl McCormack and Assaad Bouab.

Horgan and her production company Merman have signed a deal for multiple potential projects on Apple TV+, so it'll be interesting to see what else they come out with.

Bad Sisters will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 19 with its first two episodes, and release one new episode every Friday after that.
