Pearl River man pleads guilty in child porn case for possessing more than 400 images
A Pearl River County man is facing a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography in the Mississippi Band of Choctaw community, court records show.
William Henry, 25, pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Gulfport. As part of his plea, Henry admitted he possessed more than 400 images of children engaged in sexually explicit acts.
Since the investigation began, authorities have identified 25 of the children victimized in the images.
A federal grand jury indicted Henry on two federal charges, but he pleaded guilty to one count of possession in a plea deal with federal prosecutors.
Williams is set for sentencing on Jan. 22.
The FBI, Choctaw Police Department, and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Payne and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian K. Burns prosecuted the case.
The case was launched as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006.
U.S. Attorney Todd Gee and FBI special agent in charge Jermicha Fomby announced the plea.
