Pedestrian dies after being hit by car near Palm Springs
PALM SPRINGS — A pedestrian died late Saturday after being hit by a car on South Military Trail near Palm Springs.
The pedestrian, who was not identified in a report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office because his family had not yet been notified, was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk near the 2000 block of South Military Trail around 10:18 p.m. The man was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing, the report said.
At the same time, a 59-year-old West Palm Beach man was driving southbound on Military Trail and hit the pedestrian.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by sheriff's deputies.
