Pedestrian dies after crash Saturday night along Dragoon Trail in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA — A 27-year-old man died Saturday night on Dragoon Trail after being struck by a man driving a pickup truck.

Eric Toledo, 27, was injured and later died from injuries in the crash., according to authorities.

According to investigaors with the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team, Toledo was westbound walking along Dragoon Trail about 9:50 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a westbound pickup truck driven by Jacob Swan, 33, of South Bend.

Swan was not injured in the crash and cooperated with FACT investigators.

The crash occurred along Dragoon Trail near Marian High School.
