Pedestrian dies after a crash on State Road 429, troopers say

A pedestrian has died following a Saturday night crash in Apopka, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the crash happened on State Road 429, north of County Road 437 (Plymouth Sorrento Road).

The crash shut down the southbound lanes and remained closed as investigators handled the scene.

FHP said it is possible that more than one vehicle struck the pedestrian.

The Apopka Police Department will continue to investigate the crash.
