Pedestrian dies from injuries after being hit by vehicle

Jan. 16—ANDERSON — A Fishers man died Saturday from injuries he suffered after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Hoosier Park Racing and Casino.

Steven Rubenstein, 71, was struck by a vehicle being driven by Melissa Mroz, 56, Anderson, at 7:37 p.m.

The preliminary investigation states that Rubenstein was walking through the parking lot when he was struck. He suffered severe injuries and died after being transported to an Indianapolis hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by the Anderson Police Department crash team.
