The crash occurred near Juniper Pass Drive, in a residential neighborhood. The crash blocked the two-lane roadway for a few hours to allow FHP traffic homicide investigators room to conduct their investigation.

The speed limit on the roadway is 30 mph. FHP officials do not believe speed was a factor in the crash.

At this time last year, the agency had recorded 60 traffic deaths. There were 80 deaths recorded by the FHP in all of 2021.
