Man hit and killed by truck in Wilmerding identified

A man was hit and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Wilmerding.

It happened on the Tri-Boro Expressway near Maple Street just after 5 a.m. The man, later identified as Jerome Prysock, 65, from Duquesne, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved was a tri-axle truck, according to Allegheny County police. The driver remained at the scene.

The road was closed between Monroeville Avenue and Patton Street.

Pitcairn Police requested the assistance of the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
