Pedestrian killed after being hit by car on Thursday
Dec. 30—A Sheridan, Missouri, woman died after being hit by a car around 2:45 p.m. Thursday in Worth County.
Brit Fisher, 28, was walking with traffic along Missouri Route 246, three miles east of Sheridan, when she was struck by a Ford Crown Victoria driven by Billie Wake, 99, of Grant City, Missouri, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.
Fisher came to rest in a ditch off the road, according to crash reports. Wake came to a controlled stop. Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fisher was transported to Andrews-Hann Funeral Home. Wake was uninjured.
