Pedestrian killed by car on Austell Road
Mar. 3—A Marietta man was hit and killed by a car early Friday morning on Austell Road, Cobb police said.
Filiberto Ramirez-Hernandez, 53, was crossing the road within the crosswalk near its intersection with Hurt Road just after midnight. He was hit by a Mercedes driven by Dain Hines, 39, of Atlanta, and was thrown into the street.
Ramirez-Hernandez was rushed to Wellstar Cobb Hospitalb, but was pronounced dead. Hines was not hospitalized.
