Pedestrian killed by car last week identified as Windham woman

Sep. 13—Police have identified a Windham woman as the pedestrian who died after being hit by a pickup truck Friday on Roosevelt Trail.

Lisa Reynolds, 47, died at the scene of the crash on Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) near the intersection of Trails End Road, Windham police said Monday. Reynolds was hit shortly before 8 p.m. by an eastbound 2009 GMC Sierra truck driven by Margaret Hunter, 51, of Cape Elizabeth.

Capt. William Andrew said the crash remains under investigation and there are no pending charges against Hunter, who was not injured. The police department is in the process of reconstructing the crash.

Andrew said investigators doing the reconstruction are looking at where Reynolds was walking and whether she was trying to cross Roosevelt Trail when she was hit by the vehicle. Reynolds was walking alone at the time of the crash, he said.

The section of Route 302 near Trails End Road has four lanes of traffic and a center turning lane. Trails End Road meets Route 302 between Kelly's Sebago Diner and Richard's Boat Yard Annex.
