Pedestrian struck by train produces roadblock Friday night, Fort Myers Police say

A Fort Myers police report reveals new details about the moments leading to the discovery of an unresponsive child at a Fort Myers lake, near a residence.

Lanes in both directions on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard closed Friday night after Fort Myers Police began investigating a crash.

Fort Myers Police closed the lanes at Evans Avenue around 10:45 p.m. due to a traffic accident involving a train and a pedestrian.

Lanes reopened in both directions just before midnight.
