Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Priyanka Shekhawat joins Wentworth-Douglass Hospital

DOVER – Pediatric neurologist Dr. Priyanka Shekhawat is the newest member of the neurology team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

Dr. Shekhawat comes to Wentworth-Douglass from the outpatient practice at Dartmouth Health in Manchester. She also served as an assistant professor of pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth in Lebanon.

Dr. Shekhawat received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. She completed her residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Harlem Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Shekhawat then completed a fellowship in child neurology from Columbia University Irving Medical Center, followed by an additional fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital.

She has authored numerous published works and received multiple awards in her career, including two outstanding poster presentation awards from the Residents Research Fair at Harlem Hospital Center and a Gold Medal for standing First in Ophthalmology Exam conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India.

MANCHESTER – Catholic Charities NH, one of the state’s largest social services organizations, announces the latest Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduates of its Pathways LPN scholarship program.

The following three healthcare professionals from Catholic Charities NH facilities successfully earned their LPN certifications:

  • Misty Rodriguez, St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

  • Susan Rindoria, Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

  • Nicole Arris, Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

All three transitioned from Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) to LPNs as part of Pathways, which provides scholarship opportunities for healthcare nursing professionals to advance their careers. All received full-tuition scholarships to attend a full-time LPN degree program at Harmony Health Institute in Merrimack.

The LNA-to-LPN scholarship is part of Catholic Charities NH Pathways program, which extends financial support for entry-level candidates pursuing LNA certifications and offers select scholarships for LPNs seeking to advance to a Registered Nurse (RN) degree.

The program is open to select employees of Catholic Charities NH senior living community, which includes Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover, St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin, St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia, and Warde Senior Living in Windham.
