Pella Christian's Agre signs with Taylor

Nov. 11—PELLA — Pella Christian's Emri Agre recently signed her letter of intent to continue her education and softball career at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

Agre was a 2A second team all-state selection last season for the Eagles. The center fielder enjoyed a massive junior season where she was second in 2A in batting average at .573 while also sporting a .614 on-base percentage and 1.049 slugging percentage. Agre also racked up 13 doubles, nine triples (tied for first in 2A), six home runs and 20 RBIs. Her 108 total bases topped 2A while she also stole 30 bases and played great defense in center.

Agre will have one last season with the Eagles this summer before heading to Taylor to play NCAA Division II softball.

Taylor was 26-29 last year and will be under a new head coach for the 2022-23 year in Jessica Brown, who comes over after a two-year head coaching stint at Palm Beach Atlantic University following 10 years at Mississippi State as a student-athlete, coach and administrator.
