Penguin Chick Catches Her First Snowflakes at Zoo in Syracuse, New York

A Humboldt penguin chick named Cuatro experienced the second snow in her life on November 18 and celebrated at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, New York, by catching snowflakes for the first time.

Cuatro, who hatched in May, is the youngest of the zoo’s 31-bird penguin colony and has always stood out because of her all-white chest, the zoo said in a caption.

Baby Cuatro weighed 7.8 pounds at two months old as she was starting to wean from being fed by her parents, the zoo wrote. Credit: Rosamond Gifford Zoo via Storyful
