Penguins announce plans for Halloween celebration with costume contest, photo ops, more

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced plans for its Halloween Celebration at PPG Paints Arena this year.

The celebration will take place on Oct. 30 when the Penguins take on the Anaheim Ducks at 7 p.m.

A costume contest will give fans a chance to win prizes, including autographed jerseys and treats from the Milkshake Factory. A winner will be selected during each period. The Penguins are reminding fans that costumes must be family-friendly, and masks must be removed when entering the building. No sharp objects or weapons (including fake or toy weapons) will be allowed.

In addition, there will be a free green screen photo booth behind Section 110 with Halloween-themed backgrounds and props. Free face painting will also be available.

Nationally recognized speed painter Cody Sabol and Penguins DJ, DJ Petey C, are teaming up for a live performance painting. Sabol will also have a number of painted Penguins pumpkins on display.

Halloween-themed food and drinks will also be available throughout the arena.

Tickets are available now at pittsburghpenguins.com.
