Penguins Trade: Gets Mikael Granlund from Nashville in roster shuffle

The busy night continued Wednesday when GM Ron Hextall executed the second Pittsburgh Penguins trade in less than one hour. First, Hextall traded center Teddy Blueger to the Vegas Golden Knights, then followed that move with accompanying salary cap space to acquire Nashville Predators left wing/center Mikael Granlund.

The reported return per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, who broke the trade, is a second-rounder. Pittsburgh Hockey Now can confirm the deal.

The Penguins acquired a third-rounder in the Blueger deal and upped their available salary cap space to $6.3 million.
