Roundup: Penn, Marian to meet in boys tennis sectional final
The only thing that slowed down the Penn tennis team's quest for another sectional title Tuesday was the weather.
And that only delayed one individual semifinal match for the Kingsmen.
The host Kingsmen advanced to the final round by downing Adams in sectional semifinal play.

Penn was leading 4-0 when rain forced the No. 2 doubles match to be completed Wednesday. The Kingsmen, who have won 20 straight sectional titles, will then face Marian in the sectional finale Wednesday.
The No. 29 ranked Kingsmen dropped a total of just three games in winning their four spots versus the Eagles. Petter Klasson won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles to pace Penn, now 15-2.
Marian defeated Mishawaka 4-1 in the other semifinal Tuesday evening.

Isaac Mielke and Dylan Weaver won at No. 2 and 3 singles respectively to lead the Knights, who posted four wins all in straight sets.
Finnean Bobos won at No. 1 singles for Mishawaka. He will advance in the individual portion of the state tournament series for top singles players.
The semifinal round of the Concord Sectional Tuesday was postponed. Jimtown will face Elkhart and Northridge plays Concord at 5 p.m. with the title match now Thursday at 5 p.m.
Sectional play at Clay (Leeper Park), Goshen, LaPorte and Bremen is slated to begin with semifinal rounds Wednesday evening with finals at those sites scheduled for Thursday.

Doubles: 1. Eli Deitchley/Jeffrey Bao beat Ari Shemesh/Tazio Gizzi 6-0, 6-1. 2. 2 doubles: David Bao/Quinn Lippert (P) vs. Atticus Hunter/Kai Whitlow (A) to be completed 9/28 due to rain delay.
Marian 4, Mishawaka 1
Singles: 1. Finnean Bobos (Mish) beat Nick DeCola 6-1, 6-2. 2. Issac Mielke (Mar) beat Ethan Braniff 6-2, 6-1. 3. Dylan Weaver (Mar) beat Douglas Hill 6-2, 6-1.
Doubles: 1. Joaquin Wilson/Pablo Bueno (Mar) beat Thomas Harringer/Aiden Szeltner 6-3, 6-0. 2. Blake Whitaker/Lance Limbaga (Mar) beat Spencer Weston/Cooper Szlanfucht 6-0, 6-1.
