Going into the 2022 football season, Nittany Lions Wire will be looking at each scholarship player listed on the Penn State roster.

Over the preseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for James Franklin this season.

The next player is Penn State defensive end Zuriah Fisher. The Nittany Lions will have an intriguing room full of defensive ends and some quite big shoes to fill.

Their biggest losses there are Arnold Ebiketie and Jesse Luketa. Now, Penn State will look to fill those shoes next season, with Fisher hopefully being one of them.

Depth Chart Overview

Matthew OHaren-USA TODAY Sports

Fisher did not see the field much last season, playing in just three games while recording four total tackles and a sack.

However, it is possible that Fisher could see the field a bit more in 2022. Outside of Nick Tarburton, there is a good amount of unproven players on the defensive front. That could give Fisher an opportunity to compete for more playing time in his second season with the Nittany Lions.

Penn State has an intriguing defensive line, headlined by Tarburton and interior tackle [autotag]PJ Mustipher[/autotag]. Fisher has a good chance to play more next season, but it is possible that it will not be any drastic increase. He is still a bit raw, but still sits in a nice situation to compete.
