PennDOT announces road work projects in Beaver County

PITTSBURGH − PennDOT District 11 announced different road work projects coming up in Beaver County.

There will be gas line replacement work on Route 4045 (10th Street) in Midland, beginning Monday, weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on 10th between Woodland and Ohio avenues weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through early September. Crews from Wilson Excavating will conduct gas line replacement work for Peoples Gas.

PennDOT also announced that gas line work is already underway on Route 65 (Mercer Road), in North Sewickley Township.

Single-lane alternating traffic restrictions are underway on Route 65 at the intersection of Bologne Valley and Foster roads on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., which will last through late September. Crews from Columbia Gas will relocate the main gas line.

PennDOT also announced different paving and base repair work has already started on different roads in the county, which will result in single-lane alternating traffic daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through mid-December.

These include:

  • Big Knob Road (Route 1028) between Wallace City Road and Sunflower Road in New Sewickley Township

  • Lovi Road (Route 2006) between both ends of Freedom-Crider Road in New Sewickley Township

  • Tuscarawas Road (Route 4028) between Fairview Road (Route 168) in Ohioville and Brighton Road in Brighton Township

Crews from Lindy Paving will conduct milling and paving, base repairs, drainage improvements, guide rail upgrades, line painting, and other miscellaneous construction activities.
