PennDOT plans lane restrictions on Interstate 80, Route 209

Lane restrictions will be in effect on area highways as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation removes litter and inspects signs.

Eastbound and westbound Interstate 80 will have lane restrictions between Exit 299 (PA 715) and Exit 284 (PA 115) Monday, Dec. 5 through Thursday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for litter removal.

Litter removal will also cause lane restrictions on U.S. 209 in both directions between the county line and Route 611 during the same dates and times.

Overhead sign structures on Interstate 80 will be inspected throughout the week, causing lane restrictions. This will take place between Exit 284 (PA 115) and Exit 299 (PA 715) on Monday and Tuesday, between Exit 299 (PA 715) and Exit 306 (Dreher Avenue) on Tuesday and Wednesday, and between Exit 306 (Dreher Avenue) and Exit 310 (Delaware Water Gap) on Wednesday and Thursday, all between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

If it rains, the litter removal will be delayed but the inspection work will continue.
