A Pennsylvania man scammed political donors by posing as President Donald Trump’s relatives online, prosecutors charged Tuesday.

Joshua Hall, 22, allegedly raised thousands of dollars by duping hundreds of people to donate to a fictitious political group.

Hall’s scam using a political group, Gay Voices for Trump, was reported by The New York Times in December. The DoorDash deliveryman, who is bisexual and uses the handle @TheBiTrumpGuy, is accused of promoting the political group using a Twitter account in the name of Trump’s now-deceased brother, Robert Trump.

“Joshua Hall allegedly impersonated family members of the then-President of the United States on social media to fraudulently induce hundreds of victims to donate to a political organization that did not exist, and then pocketed those funds for his own use,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said.

A fake profile set up by Hall of Trump’s sister Elizabeth Trump Grau even tricked the President himself.

“Thank you Elizabeth,” Trump tweeted, sharing an article inaccurately reporting that Trump Grau had posted in support of her brother. “LOVE!”

In another tweet, Hall used his fake Barron Trump account to endorse himself, prosecutors wrote.

“Josh is an amazing patriot who is doing tremendous things for our great country. He has my COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT!” the fake Barron Trump tweeted.

Prosecutors said that from September 2019 to December 2020, Hall, of Mechanicsburg, lied to potential contributors about where their money would go.

In one direct message, Hall allegedly wrote that contributions would go toward “field organization and merchandise,” and that he “hadn’t seen a dime of that money personally.”

Hall was released on a $25,000 bond after an appearance in U.S. District Court in Harrisburg. The lawyer who handled his presentment declined comment.
