A Pennsylvania store sold a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million

A Pennsylvania winner is sharing in the record $1.58 billion lottery drawn Tuesday night.

Zain Mini Mart in New Castle, Lawrence County, sold a winning Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million in the Aug. 8 drawing.

The lucky winner matched all five white balls drawn, 13-19-20-32-33, but not the yellow Mega Ball 14, to win a cool $1 million, less applicable withholding.

More than 333,300 other PA Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 76,900 tickets purchased with Megaplier, according to the lottery. A jackpot-winning Mega Millions ticket for the drawing was sold in Florida. The historic jackpot-winning ticket is worth an estimated annuity value of $1.58 billion or $783.3 million cash. This jackpot had been rolling since April 18, when the last jackpot worth $20 million was won in New York.

Zain's also comes out a winner. The operators of the market, at 2012 E. Washington St., will receive a $5,000 for selling bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The next Mega Millions drawing, with a jackpot of $20 million ($9.9 million cash option), will be held on Friday, Aug. 11.
