Pensacola man arrested on allegations of sexually battering, choking woman

A 34-year-old Pensacola man was charged with multiple counts of domestic-related crimes Wednesday after he allegedly sexually battered and choked a woman.

Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Marquette Deon Baker early Wednesday morning, charging him with domestic sexual battery with a weapon, domestic battery by strangulation, domestic battery and domestic false imprisonment.

Baker's arrest report states that he allegedly forced the woman to perform sex acts on him. The accuser said afterward, Baker made her drive him to the bank so she could withdraw her money to purchase Baker marijuana and "slapped her in the face" during a confrontation over money.

Baker then allegedly told her to drive to a wooded area near an apartment complex around Fairfield Drive and Mobile Highway, where he allegedly told her to perform more sex acts while in the vehicle.

"(Victim) advised that she was in fear of Baker hurting her again so she attempted to pepper spray Baker but it didn't work," the report notes. "(She) advised that Baker jumped on her and choked her, which restricted her airway and almost went unconscious."

The woman told authorities that she attempted to flee from the vehicle, but Baker allegedly held his hand on the door latch to prevent her from leaving, per the report.

"(She) advised that Baker then called someone on the phone and stated that he needed to tell someone the story so someone would know what happened on the night he killed her," the report states.

After the incident, she drove Baker to a house near T and Lee streets and used that as "her opportunity to leave."

Baker is held in Escambia County Jail without bond.
