Pensacola man found guilty, sentenced for 2023 robbery with a weapon: State Attorney Report

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man was found guilty Thursday for a March 2023 robbery at a gas station, according to the Florida State Attorney’s Office.

46-year-old Lavelle Earl Jackson was found guilty by a jury on the charges of robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The release said that in March of 2023, Jackson went into a Raceway gas station and robbed it at gunpoint. Jackson reportedly took money from the cash register and left the scene. He was located shortly after.

Jackson was in possession of a gun and money when he was arrested, according to the release. Jackson was booked into the Escambia County Jail.

Jackson was sentenced to life in prison with 15 years in the state prison to run consecutively.
