Pensacola police investigating early-morning shooting at Garden and Palafox streets

Pensacola police officers are investigating an apparent double shooting in downtown Pensacola early Saturday morning, according to a Pensacola Police Department news release.

At approximately 3:09 a.m., officers downtown were flagged down by a passerby regarding a shooting at Palafox and Garden streets. An officer responded to the area and located a vehicle with several bullet holes abandoned on Palafox Street.

A short time later, two victims arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. At this time, the identities and condition of the two shooting victims are not available.

The intersection of Palafox and Garden was closed to allow crime scene units to document the scene and collect evidence. The Criminal Investigation Division is also on scene.
