People Aren’t Happy The Kardashians Keep Wearing Fur

After shunning the spotlight since the birth of her son two months ago, Kim Kardashian certainly knew how to make sure all eyes were on her yesterday as she made her grand re-entrance to public life.
Teaming a flesh-flashing mesh top with an over-sized ‘Cruella De Vil’ inspired coat, the 35-year-old stepped back into the limelight and straight into another controversy over her choice to wear fur.
The reality star chose to wear the coat to a NYFW event and later at the launch party of her husband, Kanye West’s new fashion line, Yeezy Season 3 in a garage. The previous day, Kim had opted for a different black fur coat as she made her first public appearance since giving birth to son, Saint in December. But critics have hit out at Kim for her sartorial decisions.

Alesha Dixon took to social media to blast the reality star, calling her and her sisters ‘ignorant’.
Posting a snap of Kim’s sister, Kendall wearing a fur coat Alesha wrote “This photo really saddens me! It’s 2016 and ignorantly wearing fur is still happening!
“The Kardashian’s have a huge following and could actually affect change! I have looked into fur farms and they are barbaric, evil and disturbing.
“There is NO kind way to skin an animal alive! None of us are perfect and we learn new things everyday, but this is absolutely ridiculous.
“I honestly think if more people took the time to watch some of the footage out there they would feel sick to their stomachs. The world can be so cruel and we need to wake up! If we stand for nothing we will fall for anything. #f**kfur!”

Unsurprisingly, Alesha’s post sparked a huge debate with her followers about animal rights, which the star was thrilled about.
“Sparking the conversation is important,” she added. “Animals can’t speak….we need to speak for them! Change is not always a popular choice but there are alternatives that are just as good! I promise x”

And Kim isn’t the only one of the Kardashian clan who has been spotted wearing the fur-stuff – even her 2-year-old daughter, North and niece, Penelope have been pictured wrapped in something furry.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed whether this particular coat was real or fake fur, or indeed any of the furs worn by North or the other Kardashians, this isn’t the first time Kim has been attacked for choosing fur.

Last year anti-fur protestors stormed a New York book signing Kim was holding to promote her book, Selfish. And three years ago, she was flour-bombed on a red carpet by a PETA activist for wearing a fur coat.
Later speaking on the Today show, she justified her sartorial choice: “I believe everyone has the choice of what they want. It’s not illegal to buy fur.
“I think it’s a personal choice but I don’t think it’s ok to assault anyone.”
