This is not a drill: McDonald's is taking one of your favorite drinks off the menu, and it's happening soon. Like, we're talking, four days soon, and the internet is losing its mind.

The fast food company sent out a memo on Monday, April 24th, letting us all know that Hi-C Orange is getting the boot starting on May 1st. Um, cool. Thanks for giving us plenty of time to enjoy it while it lasts. Apparently, this is to make room for a new drink dropping in July called Sprite TropicBerry. Not sure that's a suitable substitute for the beloved orange drink, but TBD, ladies and gents. And McDonald's fully knows it's creating drama, here.

The memo, which got leaked on Reddit, included a second page to act as a script to help employee's deal with the disgruntled customers when they find out they can't score the drink anymore. They want to"ensure the proper message is communicated" about the discontinuation. LOL, k.

And as they anticipated, the public is not having it.

Though the "phaseout," as they're calling it, starts next week, locations are still allowed to keep selling Hi-C Orange as long as supplies last. May the orange force be with you.
