Lawyer Jean Pierre Espinoza receives Wright Award

Lakeland attorney Jean Pierre Espinoza was awarded the Karla Foreman Wright Attorney Award by the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association for promotion of diversity in the 10th Judicial Circuit. In 2008, Espinoza graduated with a master's in comparative law with a certificate in international business and trade law from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. In 2010, he graduated with a juris doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law and was admitted into the Florida Bar Association. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Lakeland Bar Association and the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of Central Florida. He is the current president of the Hispanic Bar Association for the 10th Judicial Circuit. He has been licensed to practice law in Florida for more than 10 years. He has been immersed in both civil law and common law. Mike Giguere, Crews Banking CIO to retire

Mike Giguere, chief information officer for Crews Banking Corporation, will retire in April. For more than 15 years, Giguere has overseen information technology for the four Crews Banking Corporation banks (Wauchula State Bank, Crews Bank & Trust, Charlotte State Bank & Trust and Englewood Bank & Trust). His responsibilities included technology improvement initiatives and projects, while helping to develop a highly skilled workforce and providing premier customer service.
