The demonstration comes just two days after the Memphis Police Department released Tyre Nichols’ arrest video.

“I watched the video a couple of times,” said one person in attendance, “I probably cried all (those) times. It’s definitely heartbreaking.”

Demonstrators marched along Forbes Avenue, chanting for change.

A demonstrator with a megaphone seemed to lead the protest and used it to spread different messages, at one point exclaiming, “We should not have to fear your badge!”

The march was paused at one point and participants took a knee and held a fist in a moment of solidarity.

This was not the first time people in the Pittsburgh area have spoken out since the video was released. Local officials shared their thoughts throughout the weekend and a demonstration was also held in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood on Sunday.
