People Gather in DC for Annual Anti-Abortion 'March for Life'

People gathered in Washington, DC, on Friday, January 20, for the March for Life, an annual anti-abortion rally.

Event organizers said that “every year, tens of thousands of pro-lifers converge on the National Mall and march on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v Wade ruling.”

Video posted by KATH.NET on Friday morning shows marchers preparing for the rally in Washington.

The 2023 March for Life was the first since the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which removed protections for abortion rights on a federal level.

The group said on its website that “the necessary work to build a culture of life in the United States of America is not finished.” Credit: @KatholikenNet via Storyful
