Holland & Knight announced that William J. Delany joined the firm as a partner in its Philadelphia office.

Delany focuses his practice on Employee Retirement Income Security Act and other labor and employment litigation. He was formerly a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Delany defends clients against ERISA class actions and complex employment discrimination lawsuits. He represents clients in class actions challenging 401(k) savings plan administration, stock-drop litigation and fiduciary duty issues arising from retiree medical and other employee benefit plan modification and termination.

He also counsels benefit plan administrators and trustees on ERISA and breach of fiduciary claims.

Delany received a J.D. degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Blank Rome announce that Richard A. Fineman joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as of counsel in the real estate group.

Fineman joins Blank Rome from Ballard Spahr and has more than 20 years of experience in real estate law and business, as both in-house and outside counsel.

He has handled a wide variety of complex commercial real estate matters and real estate finance transactions, including sophisticated development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, leases and financings, as well as public-private transactions and distressed real estate matters.

He has experience in development and finance for a variety of commercial projects, from professional sports stadiums and skyscrapers to industrial marine terminals and student and military housing.

Prior to Ballard Spahr, Fineman served as senior vice president and general counsel for a regional commercial real estate development and management company.

Online registration is open for the Philadelphia Bar Association Charity Run/Walk benefiting the Support Center for Child Advocates, which will be held May 19 at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park.

Online registration is now open and accessible for individual entries through May 17, 2019, at www.phillybarcharityrun.com.

The deadline for mail-in registration forms, which can also be downloaded from the site is May 10.

Anyone may run or walk as an individual in the open competition.

There is also a free 200-yard non-competitive kids’ dash for children ages 5-10 sponsored by Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.

Applications and information for the Caesar Rivise-sponsored legal team competitions may also be obtained online and downloaded at www.phillybarcharityrun.com.

Runners who register online by Feb. 28 will receive $5 of their registration fee.

After Feb. 28, the individual 5K walk entry fee is $25.00 and the fee for the open and Bar

Association competition 5K race is $35.00, if the registration application is postmarked by May 10th.

For those registering for the 10K race after Feb. 28, the individual entry fee for the open and Bar competitions is $45.00, if the registration application is postmarked by May 10th.

Individuals can register in person at the office of Caesar Rivise between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on May 16 and 17.

Online registration is also available at www.runsignup.com.

Pre-registration is encouraged because the entry fees on the day of the event are $45 for the 5K Run and $55 for the 10K Run.

This year’s event marks the 40th anniversary of the charity run/walk and the Bar Association’s continuing efforts to combat and improve the lives of abused and affected children.
