People Are Pleading for Bonded Pair of Mini Australian Shepherds at Houston Shelter to Be Adopted Together

It would be just awful to separate these two.

It can be wonderful when dogs bond with each other while in the shelter waiting for adoption because they provide each other with comfort and companionship. However, it can be tragic to separate them when they are eventually adopted by different families. One rescue is trying to avoid this tragedy for a pair of bonded dogs up for adoption.

The Houston SPCA recently shared a video on their TikTok account, @realhoustonspca, of two miniature Australian Shepherds, Elaina and Zoro, who have bonded with each other. The rescue is pleading for someone to adopt the pair together so they are not separated. Check out the video to see these two cute pups who are ready to find their fur-ever home with each other.

Awww, Elaina and Zoro are so cute! We can't image how devastated they would be if they were separated, so we totally understand the urgency in finding them a family that will adopt them both.

People in the comments were wishing these two good luck in their search for a home. @avarosaire said, "Oh my goodness they are so cute, I hope they find their fur-ever home soon!" Another user, @maria.andrea.415, commented, "They are so cute! I hope they find their new homes soon." In their own comment, the Houstan SPCA confirmed that since the video was originally posted, Elaina and Zoro have been adopted together!

Others shared their wonderful experiences with Australian Shepherds. @wendyveith commented, "Two Aussies are better than one. High energy breed for the right family or person," and @mini.aussie.mom said, "We have four mini Aussies. They are amazing dogs, but they do need exercise daily. But they will love you unconditionally!" Sounds like these pups have a lot of love and excitement to give back to their adopters!

We are so happy that these two dogs were able to find a fur-ever home that would take the two of them! We know they will live long and happy lives together with their new family.
