Comedian, TikTok star and apparent thirst trap Matt Rife seems to be in everyone's social media feed these days.

The Central Ohio native has surged in popularity after making the announcement Monday of his "ProbleMATTic World Tour," which includes stops both in Indianapolis and Bloomington later this year.

While fans around the internet have expressed delight in getting to see him perform live, others appeared bewildered by his popularity, asking the question: "Who in the hell is Matt Rife?"

In short, Rife, 27, has amassed a devoted fanbase with 14.5 million followers on TikTok. The comedian engages frequently with audience members when performing stand-up. He's appeared also in notable TV shows such as NBC's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," MTV's "Wild'N'Out," and the BET original movie “North Of The 10.”
