These Peoria-area restaurants are offering Thanksgiving preorder meals

For many, Thanksgiving is a time to gather with family and friends around a filling meal with decadent desserts − from turkey and stuffing to casseroles and pies. This year, the holiday falls on Nov. 23.

Maybe spending hours in the kitchen during a holiday is not your idea of something to be thankful for. Maybe you want to enjoy Thanksgiving flavors without the abundance of leftovers a turkey or ham would leave for one or two people.

Whatever the case, there are plenty of Peoria-area businesses offering premade individual and group meals for the holiday. So, here's a list of businesses which will help make Thanksgiving meal prep a bit easier:

Ardor Breads and Provisions

What they offer: According to Ardor's social media, "You take care of the turkey, let us handle the Breads & Provisions!"

Customers can order various baked goods − such as cranberry almond Danishes, Stuffin' Muffins or dinner rolls. The ordering page also lists hearth roasted chicken salad, roasted tomato soup, smoked salmon spread and more.

Barrack's Hospitality

What they offer: Individual turkey dinners for $18 and six-person group dinners for $55. Each include turkey, dressing and gravy. The individual meal includes whipped potatoes, vegetables and pie. The group meal includes rolls and cranberry sauce, with the option of adding extras.

Fresh-baked pies range between $12 and $18.

What they offer: Ham dishes are between $25 to $45 and a whole hickory smoked turkey is $75. Sides are available in large or small and include cranberry salad, green beans with bacon and onions, sweet corn casserole, turkey dressing, rolls and more.

Most pies are $17 and include pumpkin, apple, blueberry and more. The caramel apple pecan pie is $18.50.

What they offer: Individual dinners are served for $23 and 10-person family meals are listed for $200. Thanksgiving meals come with turkey, sage stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, orange cranberry sauce and an herb dinner roll.

The online menu also lists veggie trays, meat and cheese platters and desserts.

Hick'ry Stick

What they offer: Customers can order a family meal for six to eight people for $99.95. The meal comes with one entree, a dozen cornbread muffins, cranberry sauce, stuffing, two sides and a dessert.

For an entree, the business offers turkey, ham, pulled pork, beef brisket or rib tips. A variety of sides and desserts are also available to choose from, and customers can order additional items a la carte.
