These Peoria-area restaurants are serving up special Mother's Day brunches this weekend

Mother's Day is right around the corner − falling on Sunday, May 14. If you are looking for a place to treat mom, there are many local restaurants that offer special brunches for the occasion.

Here is a list of restaurants offering Mother's Day specials. Reservations are filling up fast at some establishments, so a list of restaurants open for regular brunch hours is also included.

1. Avanti’s Ristorante

When is it? The buffet will be open until 3 p.m.

Event details: The buffet costs $7.95 for those 12 and under. For anyone older, the buffet will cost $15.95. Avanti's "strongly" recommends reservations.

What food will there be? Customers will find spaghetti, linguini alfredo, mostaccioli, baked mac and cheese, ham, sides, salads, bread and desserts.

2. Homestyle Grille

When is it? The Mother's Day brunch and dinner buffet is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Event details: The restaurant will have chocolate-covered strawberries and flowers available for mothers.

What food will there be? Guests will find breakfast foods like waffles, omelets and more. For dinner menu items, the restaurant offers honey-glazed ham, prime rib, bourbon-glazed bacon-wrapped chicken and more.

When it is? Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What food will there be? Guests will find a specialty vegan brunch menu for the restaurant's Mother's Day brunch.

What food will there be? There will be breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy, french toast casserole, scrambled eggs, bacon and more. For entrees, roast beef and chicken Alfredo are offered, along with a vegetarian baked ziti. Sides, salads, dessert and meals for children will also be available.
