Here are the Peoria-area softball teams that won 1A and 2A regional championships

Illini Bluffs, the defending Class 1A softball state champion, won its third consecutive Illinois High School Association regional championship with a 12-2 victory over Concord Triopia in five innings Friday at the Lewistown Regional.

The top-seeded Tigers, now with 19 regional titles, advanced to a Jacksonville Routt Sectional semifinal set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against Liberty, a 9-2 winner over Mendon Unity in the Camp Point Regional.

In Class 2A, Brimfield/Elmwood, Tremont and Macomb won regional championships and advance to this week's sectional semifinals.

Top seed Brimfield/Elmwood defeated Knoxville 5-0 on Friday to win the Farmington Regional, the program's sixth regional overall and first since 2018. The Indians face the Prophetstown Co-op at at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tremont Sectional.

No. 2 seed Tremont avenged a regular-season loss to Illinois Valley Central, 2-1, in the championship game of the Chillicothe Regional on Friday. The Turks, winners of three consecutive regionals and 10 overall, advanced to face Taylor Ridge Rockridge at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals of their own sectional.

Macomb defeated Canton 5-4 in eight innings to win the Canton Regional championship — the program's first since 2002. Macomb will face Williamsville at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Athens Sectional.

In other area regional finals: In the three 1A regional championships involving area teams that were postponed until Monday, host Havana beat Edinburg Co-op 5-1; host St. Bede beat Putnam County, 5-3; and host Biggsville West Central beat North Fulton, 7-3. ,,, Over the weekend, top seed Olympia's season came to an end with a 10-1 loss to host Williamsville in a 2A final. ... Annawan/Wethersfield's season ended with a 7-4 loss to Sterling Newman at the 1A Princeville Regional. ... The Williamsville Co-op lost to 1A host Woodhull AlWood 4-0 to end its season
