Person found dead at abandoned Boysville Juvenile Detention Center
Michigan State Police are investigating a dead body found at the abandoned Boysville Juvenile Detention Center in Frenchtown Township.
Troopers who were dispatched to the facility found Monroe resident Kayla Sedoskey on the floor inside the building, a news release issued Friday by the state police's Monroe Post said. Monroe Community Ambulance personnel responded to the scene and pronounced her to be deceased.
The cause of death is still under investigation. Anyone with information relating to the cause of Sedoskey's death is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Michael Peterson at the Michigan State Police Monroe Post.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe Community Ambulance and the Frenchtown Township Fire Department.
