Person hit, killed on Highway 401 in Darlington County, highway patrol says

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A person was hit and killed Sunday evening while walking across Highway 401 in the town of Lamar in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened at about 6:30 p.m. when a 2015 Chrysler 200 traveling north on Highway 401 hit the person in the roadway, SCHP Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said. The driver and a juvenile passenger were not hurt.
