Suspect charged in stabbing slay of man found nude, bleeding in Brooklyn

A Brooklyn resident was accused Saturday of fatally stabbing a man found naked and wounded outside his apartment building, police said.

Vito Bauza, 56, faces murder and weapons charges for the slaying of 40-year-old Ernest Diaz, of Queens.

Diaz was found naked and bleeding profusely outside the building on the corner of 99th St. and 3rd Ave. in Bay Ridge about 2:50 p.m. Friday, cops said.

Diaz has been stabbed repeatedly. Medics took him to Lutheran Hospital where he died.

Bauza turned himself in at the 68th Precinct stationhouse Saturday, cops said.

The relationship between the two men was not immediately clear, a police spokesperson said.

Bauza was awaiting arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Saturday night.
