Person shot and killed overnight on North Olney Street in Indy

A man was shot and killed in the 2700 block of North Olney Street early Saturday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said.

Police responded to the scene shortly before 1 a.m. The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. IMPD officials said detectives believe shots were fired during a verbal disagreement between two people inside the house.

Those involved in the incident have been identified and believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
