Pet Adoption In The Jersey City Area: See New Dogs, Cats
Do you want to add to your family and give back to the Jersey City community at the same time? Adopt a pet from a local shelter or organization! During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many facilities are still working to fulfill adoptions.
Across New Jersey, there are thousands of dogs, cats and other animals of all ages and sizes without a home — many of whom are located in your area. For those looking to adopt, a great place to begin your search for an adorable new companion is at Joyrides Rescue, where Lime & Tequila the dog is waiting patiently, or another local shelter. If you aren't sure if you have time to take care of a pet year round, many shelters also offer opportunities to foster pets until they are placed in permanent homes.
