Chance is 2 years old and weighs about 77 pounds, according to shelter officials. They describe him as a "sweet and goofy boy."

He's been waiting on his "furever home" for four months, but shelter official say he'd need a meet and greet with any prospective siblings and doesn't do well with large dogs.

Chance can be seen at the HSPRAC, 4200 Brooke Ave., Gadsden. His adoption fee is $50.

The shelter is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Tuesday, when it is closed to help facilitate its S.N.Y.P. (Spay and Neuter Your Pet) program. For more information, call 256-442-1347.
