Pete Doherty didn't have the 'f****** b****' to stick around for 2006 mysterious death case

The Libertines rocker Pete Doherty has opened up about the mysterious death of magician Mark Blanco, who fell from a Whitechapel balcony in 2006 while attending a gathering.
At the time, fellow partier Doherty was caught on CCTV cameras stepping over a still-alive Blanco in the street before fleeing the scene.
Police treated the tragedy as an accident, with no available evidence to prove this event was suspicious.

Cut to now, and Doherty is a subject on the second incarnation of docuseries Louis Theroux Interviews..., with his episode set for broadcast on Tuesday, 14 November at 9pm on BBC Two.
Naturally, Louis, whose beloved documentaries have investigated everything from 'tiger king' Joe Exotic to the Westboro Baptist Church, is keen to hear his interviewee's side of the Blanco story.
"No one knows what happened because no one saw it. I certainly didn't see it," says Doherty.
"I probably should have stood my ground, taken a deep breath and had the f****** balls to stay there, flush [his Class A drugs] down the toilet and be there when the police came.
"But I didn't want to see the police. It was a f****** inconvenience to me and that's an awful thing to say. He's lying dying in the street and I was concerned about getting nicked for possession," the singer-songwriter goes on to admit.
"I just remember feeling so much f****** relief when I told the police what I knew and they believed me."

Further along, the deceased's grieving mother Sheila cropped up in conversation, who recently headed up the Channel 4 documentary Pete Doherty, Who Killed My Son?
"You can't blame her for [being angry]. Her son fell to his death and some people, I think, genuinely, believe he was thrown to his death. And then I'm on camera running away," reflected Doherty, before claiming that any anger directed towards him is "misplaced".
