Peter Andre has marked daughter Princess Andre's 15th birthday by warning her she's not permitted to go on Love Island.

The 49-year-old singer made it clear in a post to the teenager on Instagram that he doesn't want her anywhere near the ITV reality show.

Andre started with a touching tribute to Princess wishing her a 'happy birthday' and sharing a video with images of his daughter from over the years.

Alongside the sentimental clip, he wrote: "Happy 15th birthday to my kind, loving, moody and caring daughter. You bring so much life to our home. We all love you so much.

"You're beautiful inside and out just the way you are and never forget that. Happy Birthday."

However, he concluded with the stark warning: "...and NO you can't go on Love Island. Love dad."

The 'Mysterious Girl' singer, who shares Princess and her brother Junior Andre, 17, with ex-wife Katie Price, 44, made no secret of wanting his children to steer clear of the ITV2 reality show.

The series puts a group of young people who have never met in a luxury villa and has them 'couple up' as viewers watch their romances unfold on screen.

In his OK! column earlier this month, Andre wrote: "I have to say I feel every inch of pain Michael Owen must be going through seeing his daughter Gemma Owen on Love Island."

He continued: "Don't get me wrong, it's a great show but it's not exactly ideal as a dad, is it?"

He then suggested that he has warned the eldest of his four children, Junior, 17, and Princess against appearing as contestants on the hit series.

However, he did add that he'd be comfortable with his children hosting the show, declaring: "I'm happy for [them] to present [it], so hopefully they both take heed of that."

His fears are a bit premature as neither child can apply to be on Love Island for quite some time as the ITV show requires applicants to be aged 18 and over to take part.

Former England footballer Michael Owen's daughter Gemma, 19, makes up the new crop of contestants.

She's currently coupled up with fisherman Luca Bish, 23, in the villa.

Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITV Hub tonight from 9pm.
