Peter Andre shames fan who wanted to break social distancing rules for selfie
Peter Andre has shamed a delivery driver who asked him to break social distancing rules to take a selfie with him.
The 47-year-old singer and father-of-four – whose wife Emily is an NHS doctor working on the frontline amid the coronavirus pandemic – has said he felt rude saying no to the fan, but worried that the government guidelines are not clear enough.
Andre wrote in his column in New! magazine: “Someone who delivered a parcel to my house asked for a selfie and I said, ‘OK, but we'll have to do it by social distancing.’ He went, ‘Nah, don't be stupid, come on.’ And I said, ‘No’.

The TV presenter went on: “It was the first time I'd ever felt like I was being rude to someone who asked for something, but at the same time I thought, ‘Mate, do you not understand?’
“The thing is, the rules are unclear, so maybe some people don't get it since the advice changed from 'Stay at home' to 'Stay alert'.”
The government guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19 state that people should keep at least two metres between themselves and anyone who does not live in their household.
Andre – father father to six-year-old Amelia and three-year-old Theo with 30-year-old Emily, as well as Junior, 14, and Princess, 12, from his marriage to Katie Price – revealed he and his wife had disagreed about whether to send their Amelia back to school.
He admitted that “if it was down to me”, he would have kept his children at home for longer.
But he added: “Emily is a doctor and if she thinks it's OK, then I'm going with that.”
Andre admitted he worried that children would not understand social distancing.

In early March, before lockdown rules were imposed, Andre claimed he was the victim of a “wind up” after it was claimed he asked fans to not attempt “physical contact” with him at a show due to coronavirus fears.
