Peter Weber's mother is being canceled after drama with Madison on 'The Bachelor'
On part one of the season finale of The Bachelor Monday night, we finally found out who Peter Weber's mom Barbara Weber has been crying over in the clip that has been teased from the very beginning of the season… and Bachelor Nation is shook.
Barbara was not referring to Madison Prewett, and definitely not Hannah Brown, as many predicted. As it turns out, Barbara was crying over Hannah Ann, whom she believed to be "an angel on Earth" after meeting her for the very first time during Monday night's episode.
Not only were fans disappointed by the revelation, the moment we had waited for all season also ended up turning Bachelor Nation against Barbara, after she low-key shamed fan-favorite Madison for telling Peter she wouldn't be able to move forward with him if he didn't keep it in his pants.
"I don't want anyone to change him, because he is who he is and we love him the way he is," Barbara told Madison. "I respect you for your values, and if I didn't want to go to the fantasy suite because I was you, I understand that. But to tell someone else, when there are other girls that he has very strong feelings for, whether he wants to get physical with them or emotional, that's up to him."
Madison clapped back, telling Barbara, "Right, but also at the same time, my expectations and feelings are valid just as much as his, and I totally get that's his journey, but it's also mine. And I have the standards that I have. I'm not going to apologize for that, I'm not going to be ashamed of that, because I didn't tell him what to do. All I said was, it's going to be hard for me to continue to work through this if this happens. But I just want to be open and honest about how it will make me feel. And that is all I wanted to do."
Moments after their sit-down, Barbara began sobbing to Peter, who was confused as to why his mother was crying. Ultimately, Barbara told Peter, "She's not there for you, bud. But bud, you know what, I have to tell you something. I said a prayer last night. I said, lord, please, please guide Peter today and guide Madison to see where they're at in this relationship, because you have a gem waiting for you who is madly, head over heels in love with you, and God put her there for you. I think God has answered my prayers and put the right person in your path."
"Madison is a sweet girl, lovely girl, but Hannah Ann is an angel on Earth, and I want him to make the right choice," said Barbara, which had Bachelor Nation flipping tables. Barbara was even being called the villain of the season, as viewers took to Twitter to stan for Madi.

Madison deserves a family who understands her morals and beliefs to the limit, without an interrogation with assumptions. #thebachelor pic.twitter.com/qnEthGBhWE

Only progress we’ve made tonight is that Barbara is canceled #TheBachelor

On top of canceling Barbara over her views of Madison, Bachelor Nation was also annoyed by Peter's mother's "overly dramatic" sobbing, which they viewed as a manipulative tactic to get Peter to bring Hannah Ann home.
Barbara is every girls nightmare. A mother who refuses to hold her son accountable and chooses to speak down on any woman who doesn’t bow down to him and let him do whatever he wants. #thebachelor #thebachelorfinale

When the entire build up of the season with Barbara crying really is unexpected and shocking, but not in the way you wanted bc you realize his mom you've loved this entire time is a bit of a manipulative, controlling narcissist:#TheBachelor #bachelorabc pic.twitter.com/rKY56EOFMq

However, in the end, Barbara got what she wanted because, after Peter's family made it clear to Madison that she and Peter were two very different people with different views, Madison ended up breaking up with Peter, leaving him with only one woman heading into the final rose.
Part two of The Bachelor season finale airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
